It is applicable not just to sportspeople, but to anybody wishing to recover from or guard against a soft tissue injury. You do not need to be a sports person to benefit from massage therapy. Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM)
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) is a manual therapy technique performed with the assistance of handcrafted instruments. The instruments used are manufactured from stainless steel and are accurately designed to fit the natural contours of the body.
Myofascial Dry Cupping
Dry cupping therapy is a form of traditional medicine that originated in Asia. It is a non-invasive treatment used for a range of conditions by increasing blood circulation at the point of the injury.
It is performed by placing cups on an area of the skin. The air inside the cup is then suctioned out, and they are left on the skin for around 5 to 10 minutes. The body replenishes the cupped areas with healthier blood flow and stimulates healing at a cellular level.
Our therapist works with a great range of clients in assisting with preventive treatment and injury recovery. Regardless of your experiences in sport or exercise, whether you exercise socially or compete to a high level, massage therapy may have something to offer you.
